Frequently asked questions

How are Svelva socks different from other brands?
In short: these are compression socks you will actually want to put on in the morning. A lot of pairs are either a struggle to pull on, or they stay tight in the wrong places all day. Svelva is cut for wider calves, slides on without a fight, and still gives real support from the ankle up.
What is the Svelva 60-day fit guarantee?
We size as carefully as we can, but calves vary. If the pair you received is not quite right, you are covered. Wear them, wash them, and if the fit is off within 60 days of delivery, email us with your order number and the size you need. We send the new pair free. You do not send the first pair back. hello@svelva.com
Does the foot get bigger on larger sizes?
Yes. When you go up a size, the foot bed gets larger too. People with wider calves often have larger feet, so the whole sock scales together instead of leaving you with a tight toe box on a roomy calf.
How long can I wear them?
Through the working day — usually 8 to 12 hours. They are made for standing, sitting at a desk, or moving around. Take them off before bed unless a clinician has told you otherwise.
How tight are they, and what pressure will I feel?
Svelva uses graduated compression of 15–20 mmHg. That is firm enough to support the calf and ease swelling, without the tourniquet feeling of a medical-grade sock. Pressure is strongest at the ankle and eases as it moves up the leg, so they stay wearable from morning until evening.
How do I wash Svelva socks?
They hold their shape and compression through regular washing. - Water up to 40 °C / 104 °F - Turn inside out - No bleach - Do not tumble dry
